ARAB, Stockholm: Changes while we are preparing our move

Announcement

Arbetarrörelsens arkiv och bibliotek / Labour Movement Archives and Library
Stockholm, Sweden

From the turn of the year (2011/2012) we are busy preparing our move. Our library department will be closed after February 3, while the archival department still is open, however by appointment only. Our door will be locked and no spontaneous visits are possible.

To enable us to work with our library collections we need to stop all check outs and to recall all materials in circulation. This includes interlibrary loans.

From December 7, 2011 until February 3, 2012 we have a fee amnesty, meaning possible overdue fines are cancelled when all loans are returned.

From the turn of the year (and until our installation at the new location) we are no longer open on Thursday evenings.

In short: the big change takes effect February 7 (library closed, archive open by appointment only).

We’re counting on being back with full service by the end of 2012 — in our new premises, at a new location (which is still unknown).
