The annual conference of the International Association of Labour History Institutions (IALHI) will take place this year in Lisbon, at the Fundação Mário Soares, from 19 - 22 September 2012.
This year, the Coordination Committee proposes three main topics to be presented and discussed, in order to guide the members communications:
- Collecting and archiving digital-born information;
- The future of the reading rooms;
- Relations between collecting and research.
Apart from these themes, we also want to dedicate our attention to the presentation of labour portuguese archival projects, memory and national identity and web platforms.
The HOPE project and its requirements for IALHI Foundation will also be addressed during the Conference.
Please find the preliminary programme attached. We cordially invite you to take part in the conference – please fill out the attached participation form and send it to ialhi2012@fmsoares.pt, before July 22, 2012.
If you like to give a presentation about the suggested topics, please indicate it on the participation form.
The conference organizers will make available the definitive programme by August 10.
