The IISH is proud to present a new online collection: the digitized price currents. What was the price of candied ginger sold in 1679 Amsterdam? How much did elephant teeth cost in 1817 in Amiens? Growing trade meant a growing demand for information on market at the end of the Middle Ages. The solution were printed lists that showed traded goods with the current prices next to it, often written by hand. These price currents from as early as the 16th century and from all over the world give us a wealth of information on past economic life.

Ya está disponible la tercera edición del libro El feminismo en España. Dos siglos de historia, coordinado por Pilar Folguera.

En esta edición se han incluido nuevas aportaciones que son el resultado de nuevas reflexiones sobre el devenir del feminismo en España en los últimos años. No obstante, el núcleo originario de las aportaciones proceden de un curso que tuvo lugar en la Fundación Pablo Iglesias que tuvo como objetivo analizar la evolución del feminismo en España.

Dr Emmet O'Connor will deliver the annual lecture of the Society for the Study of Labour History (SSLH) in honour of John Halstead (1936- 2021). For the majority of attendees this will be an online event. A Zoom link will be circulate a few days before the event.

Cette journée d’étude se propose d’explorer les figures, les travaux et les représentations des femmes qui écrivent l’Histoire de 1789 à 1914. Ce long dix-neuvième siècle, consacré comme « siècle de l’histoire », est le moment d’un intérêt profond pour le passé – que l’on songe au succès du roman historique ou aux centaines d’auditeurs qui se précipitent aux cours de Guizot et de Michelet dans la première moitié du siècle.

En occasion du bicentenaire de la proclamation de l’indépendance du Brésil advenue le 7 septembre 1822, nous proposons d’organiser une journée d’études qui portera sur la production intellectuelle des auteurs réunis sous l’étiquette de « Théorie de la dépendance ».
