Remembering the crimes of National Socialism is not only an act of looking back—it is essential to safeguarding the future of our democracy, which today faces enormous pressure. Antisemitism, historical revisionism, polarization, and global crises call for new and courageous responses. Remembrance can play a vital role in strengthening and sustaining democratic resilience.
The EVZ Foundation invites participants from Germany and across Europe to HISTODAY 2026, a European history festival dedicated to critically engaging with the past and boldly exploring questions that shape our shared future.
We are seeking your expertise, your voice, and your ideas in action. Whether through lectures, workshops, panel discussions, artistic contributions, or experimental formats, we welcome your perspective to help build an inclusive and forward-thinking culture of remembrance in Europe.
The event will be held in English. Therefore, we kindly ask you to submit your proposal in English. Language support will be provided if needed.
Submit your proposal and a short bio by January 15, 2026 here: https://www.25-jahre.stiftung-evz.de/en/events/online-form-histoday
