Latin America and Central Europe are regions that share the experience of dictatorships, authoritarianism, strong modernizing states, rebellious civil societies and transitions to and from democracy. Both regions were also part of the so-called third wave of democratization, which represented a time of hope for democracy and constitutionalism as a means of overcoming dictatorship and difficult history.

This conference is intended for researchers who investigate social movements, biographies of movement activists, and communication in social movements, and who are interested in comparative movement research. Please refer to the attached document for the full call.

El Comité Editorial de la revista de ASET, Estudios del Trabajo, comunica el lanzamiento de una convocatoria a presentar propuestas temáticas de Dossier para el segundo número de este año de la revista.
Las propuestas de Dossier deberán contar con un Equipo Coordinador integrado por 2 o 3 investigadores de distintas universidades/centros de investigación y deberán incluir:
L’équipe des doctorant·es du Centre de recherche en histoire comparée européenne (CRHEC) consacre sa sixième journée d’étude aux figures des travailleurs et travailleuses reconnu·es comme tel·les de l’Antiquité à nos jours. Cette rencontre a pour but d’inviter les jeunes chercheurs et chercheuses à réfléchir au travail reconnu sur le temps long, en replaçant ses acteur·ices dans leur contexte politique, social et économique. L’objectif est d’interroger les rapports de distinction et de valorisation des travailleurs suivant la nature de leur activité.
